ABOUT ME

PHYSIOTHERAPY, KINESIOLOGY, ABOUT ME

Welcome! My name is Maša Šugić, and I’m a licensed physiotherapist and kinesiologist with a strong academic and clinical background. I hold two university degrees—one in Physiotherapy and another in Kinesiology—and I’ve gained extensive hands-on experience working both in Slovenia and internationally.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working in a variety of healthcare and rehabilitation settings: from orthopedic centers, hospitals, and private sports clinics, to nursing homes and community-based programs. My professional journey has brought me into close collaboration with athletes, post-surgical patients, chronic pain sufferers, and older adults, helping them move better and live with less pain.

I have completed additional training in manual therapy techniques, including the Maitland Concept and Cyriax orthopedic medicine, as well as advanced massage therapy. These approaches allow me to adapt treatments based on each person’s needs, combining scientific knowledge with clinical intuition.

Born and raised in Slovenia, I’m also a lifelong athlete myself, which gives me a deeper appreciation for how movement, discipline, and rehabilitation intersect. My passion for education and evidence-based care inspired me to start this blog, where I share practical advice, rehabilitation tips, and insights into physiotherapy and movement science in a way that’s easy to understand and apply.

Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing chronic pain, or simply looking to learn more about your body, you’re in the right place. I believe in empowering people through knowledge, and I’m here to guide you with clarity, empathy, and professionalism.
